Boulder / Denver F8x Owners
Was curious if there are any local owners willing to give me a spin or even quick test drive in their car in exchange for a coffee, lunch or beer? I've got an M3 on order, expected to arrive in CA port 3/26. I'm adding the MPE before delivery, but also contemplating Dinan suspension upgrades and throwing it into the purchase price. Would love either baseline impression of stock M3 suspension or one with the Dinan kit already installed. Wouldn't mind meeting like minded folks either, as I'm relatively new to Boulder (moved from SF 10/2014).
Thanks! Jason |

Schomp BMW has several on their lot, they don't need to know you already bought, just go there and ask for a test drive.

Oh great! I ordered through Schomp, but there was zero inventory at any of the dealers at the time, so no chance to test drive beforehand. Thanks for the heads up!

Schomp doesn't have any m3's. I think that was the question, but an m4 wouldn't feel much different if at all.

Well, this thread is dead. Anyone out there?
My M3 is currently being built, they said ~2 months or so. Don't even want to think about the wait! I never see other F80s/F82s, but surely once i hop in one ill start seeing them all the time. It's funny how that works. |

I test drove a 2017 Comp pkg M3 and found it still crazy stiff. I say "crazy stiff" relative to the 2011 IS350 i've been driving for the last year: i feel like im in a massage parlor, though its not as comfy as an '06 RL. I came from an 08 evo on coilovers for 7 years (finally sold it 2 weeks ago), so i know what obnoxiously stiff is, but still the M3 Comp i drove was only a tad more comfortable. Pretty crazy for me to comprehend that an M car is as stiff as a high spring rate evo with a ton of brackets and braces here and there. Which is why im interested in a report on how the KWs you ordered feel once you get them installed. Let me know. I went bimmer solely to get away from the obnoxiousness of the evo from a daily driver sense, while still having something fast, cool looking, and mod-able. Makes me think im going with the wrong car :/ |

pistolpete69916 I have the Comp pkg. I just sold my '07 RS4 that had the Bilstein PSS9 coilover, so that was very stiff. I guess that's what I'm accustomed to. I dont find the Comp pkg crazy stiff. I'll report on the KW kit once it's on. Sounds like it should be a great option. However, even KW can't give me much feedback on it going on any 2018's.

Very likely. Where are the pics of your car? Seems like you have done some serious modding. I've given it some thought, but the car is seriously fast enough to get me in plenty of trouble.
