Carbon ceramic brakes!!!

Finally got enough with my CCB, they do make noise and i am just a kind of person hate any noise on the car. So got BMW Sydney priced up to change back to normal M brakes and that cost $$$....

Anyone want take my CCB with 4000 kms on them. I will sell the whole system that will carefully remove by BMW Sydney to cover some of my cost for the normal M brakes. ( BMW said they are great on the tack, but a bit over kill on the road use)

Tim.

Hi Tim,

How much do you want for the CCB's?

I found if you put a decent heat cycle in them once every couple of weeks they tend to operate very quietly. Also when cleaning your car, high pressure hose around the back end of the calipers to keep them clean.

Mine tended to be very noisy to start with but having put them through their paces, are a lot easier to live with on a day to day basis.

So the M brakes are costing 20k

We can do an aftermarket BBK such as AP Racing or Brembo starting from $11.5k installed

Aren't CCB only about 10k as an option from the dealer?

Can't imagine anyone is going to pay 10k for a used set which has been pulled apart, etc.

I'd follow the recommendations above to either wear them in or buy AP/Brembo's.

That is such an insane price. You would NEVER get that back on resale.

you are better off buying a new car, trade that one in . Did you not know about CCB before you ordered.

Have no noise issues with Ccb's on mine. Initially did not like them, now very happy. They do need heat in them and turn of the auto collision thingy, improves pedal feel.
