SC Performance Delivery - Any must hit roads as I head North?

I'm taking delivery at the Performance Center on 4/07 with my wife and we are heading north back up to MA. I'd love to hit a few great roads that aren't too far out of the way. Do you locals have any suggestions?

I'm not looking to push the car 10/10ths, but it would be great to have a better drive than just cruise control on the highway for days on end.

Thanks!

The roads around Tail of the Dragon are money.

The tail itself can be too touristy. And really not that fast, think 2nd to 3rd gear corners, and the straights or sweepers that you can open up, cops lie in wait.

Tons of roads when you go NorthWest towards Asheville/Brevard. As a matter of fact, some of the best I've ever driven. If you go there during the weekday, they should be deserted. So definitely try to hit up 276N towards The Blue Ridge Parkway. Absolutely worth it, and the views are fantastic.

Be careful once you enter VA. Cops as thirsty.

I took 276 as well to the parkway and then over towards Asheville. I-81 north is a much more scenic drive than I-95 if it's not too far out of your way. Richmond to DC seems like its always a traffic jam.

Thanks. Think I'll be taking this route, with a goal to be in Annapolis by Friday evening (Taking delivery on Thursday). How far I get that evening depends on departure time I guess. Means I can have a relaxing weekend for the remainder of the trip and see some city things for my wife.

US Route 15 N runs then for you I would imagine 17. Great mountain roads between some great old fashion towns.

15N is beautiful. I like the small roads with little twists, old bridges, tiny village shops. They are part of the US fabric.
