Possibly a new 3?
Saw this on the garden state parkway this morning..... 3 or 5? I couldn't tell as I was on the local side of the parkway.
Thoughts?

F30 was 2012. Most probably '18 or '19.

Definitely a 3. Could it be a 330? Looks small for a 5.

The G20 is rolling around Germany under camo already, so it could be that, although it seems early.

The LCI will last as long as BMW wants it to last. Everything I have read says the G20 is expected in MY '18--of course, I don't think any official word has come from BMW.

Looking forward to see what's new in the G20.
LCD dash Audi style? Standard Nav? Carplay/android auto support? Steering feel improvement? Handling improvement? Killing Halogen?

No way in hell--no one does this at in this class. Seems logical I'd bet on this This too That's what Audi's doing, but not MB. Tough to say. I wonder if they'd make Halogens standard on a 320 equivalent, but LEDs standard on a 328 equivalent? |

I'd say it's a 5 based on current production cycles. Trunk looks too long too.

That seems far too quick to me. MY18 means we would be seeing it in Spring/Summer of 2017, so the LCI would have a lifespan of only 2 years.

So--they should delay a newer better car so they an get an extra year out of minor suspension improvements and re-styled DRLs and taillights? Or, conversely, they should just bag an LCI completely because a new model is coming out in 2 years, and let the car just stagnate as others improve?

I'm going to show my ignorance, but what's with the weird paint scheme on these test cars? Why do they do that? I guess I could just Google it but I figured I'd ask...
