Tuned and ready for the track season

Pulled the car out of winter storage a couple weeks ago. Just recently installed a new Wagner catted DP, wheel studs, 19" HRE FF15 wheels (for street...not track) and had the car tuned.

Really happy with the results. Nothing new as BMW continues to understate factory HP/TQ figures.

Next upgrade will be a custom built rear differential.

Cool. He made my rear end and I've been very happy with it. I'll be interested to see how you like yours.

Dan's great and has built other diffs for me.

He'll be building a 3 clutch variable ramp set up......hopefully in the next month or so.

That is what he built for me. 35/60 ramp. Are you getting the final drive changed to 3.46? I did (he recommended it), and it was a great upgrade.

Sorry, thought you had the 235i, not the 228i. The 235 has a FD of 3.08. I wouldn't change it either if the FD was 3.91.

Those are great numbers on a Mustang Dyno if they're at the wheel numbers?
Bren tuned your ECU ?

Seriously looks good!
Are you going to do 1/4 mile too ?

Is this a conservative flash or mild-aggressive ?
311/332 on Mustang would equate some impressive Dynojet figures

Glad you are happy with the results ... What did you think of the downpipe quality? Any pics?

Likely won't do any 1/4 mile stuff.

The tune on a scale of 1-10 (10 is aggressive), is around a 7. It pushes 21psi peak boost.

Have heard a lot of positive things about BT. What was your experience like? Im thinking about asking him for a conservative tune.

Initial impression of the Wagner DP was, wow! Great looking piece with great welds....very high quality.

Fitment on the other hand was anything but impressive. The inlet flange was too big by a mm or 2 (fixed by lightly sanding flange). The outlet side of the DP was too small and therefore you could not clamp the center section down tight. The outlet needed to be stretched/opened up to fit properly. The hanger was also slightly incorrect. Last, the o2 sensor needed to be finagled to fit properly.

So, ultimately everything worked out, but was not a quick easy direct fit. All little things.

Performance has obviously been fantastic. I got an initial CEL, but it was cleared and has not come back.

Overall, I'm happy with the part, but want everyone to realize they might have to monkey with it a little to fit perfectly.

Sorry about the fitment hassle ... Did you contact your vendor or Wagner about it during installation?

On the other hand, im glad everything worked out and results are satisfying

Hmmm

If anyone has any Wagner Tuning problems, please feel free to contact me even if you did not get the product from us

We are very familiar with Wagner products we can definitely help and even if we were not able to help, we would connect you to the Wagner engineers in Germany

Always make sure to take pictures and the stock part number of the downpipe or intercooler

So I received a call today from Wagner.....

Their team in Germany agrees that the N20 downpipe isn't correct and they are redesigning the part.

I was very happy to hear that they acknowledged the issue and will be fixing all N20 downpipes. Again, the overall workmanship of the part was great, it just needed a little tweaking.

Car is running great!

Haven't hit the drag strip, but I'm at the track this weekend. The low end torque is amazing!

So far, I'm more than happy with the tune.
