Safe to run different left and right front tires?

Related to my recent front right flat tire, I was planning on replacing it with the same Continental DWS but it looks like they no longer make the 235/35/19's. Is it a problem to go with another brand of that size or do I need to replace both fronts?

You really don't want to have different levels of grip/traction on the same axle, I'd replace both.

Nm I found the size I need. So it's the same tire, but this will be new. The other tire has about 6K miles on it. Will this cause any issues?

Probably not, though there will be a slight difference in traction and circumference. Not really noticeable unless the older tire had a lot of wear in 6K.

No. But it is okay to run different right and left front tires.

I did this with my current Michelin PSS's needing a new tire with about 6K on the other one. The car started to wander a bit. The best wheel alignment guy around here told me his BMW did the same thing. Its gotten less evident now that I've got a few more miles on it, but you may not like the instability. Maybe its because the PSS's are "twitchy" to begin with. I wouldn't go near a setup with different front left and right tires.
