What's up forums members wanted and need help was checking my injectors since I got my 2007 Bmw 33i e93 I see that the 2 last digits on my first 2 injectors are 09 and the rest are 03 is this possible does this digit mean year injectors are made? Car is from 2007 and if it has 2003 injectors someone swapped them with older ones? Makes no sense but anyone let me know any info I am newbee thanks

The 03 are probably the originals and the 09 are probably replacements.

Last 2 digits are the index number or revision number. Latest revision should be 12. When replacing injectors, anything 10 and under can be used together and 11 and up can be used together. 11's and up should not be mixed with anything 10 and under but sometimes people do mix them. My car at one point had 12's 09's and 05's and it ran ok, it now has all 12''s. At some point your car probably had 2 injectors replaced which would be the 09's, the 03's could be originals.

Revisions 1-3, 11, and 12 seem to be the most reliable. You can not intergange 11 & 12 with earlier versions.

FCPEuro for ordering parts because they give you a lifetime warranty on ALL parts they sell. Injectors will die (even the new ones) at least now you won't have to pay for them ever again.

FCPEuro will also price match the parts from other vendors of the same part (Like ECS or GetBMWParts).

Just curious are you going by people's posts and experiences , I only ask as isn't each higher index a revision and if so why is 1-3 better than 5-9? I hear 9 is terrible and of course my recall gave me 4 index 9 in 2011 on my 2009 coupe. How can revisions be worst than previous ones and how could BMW allow this.. Suck as I'm searching for some injectors now but don't have he $$ to buy index 12 , well I don't want to spend that much right now. So I'm sourcing lower indexes to get by and I have read more pots like your saying that 9 are terrible.. Just find it crazy that newer versions are worse.
