Took new 750 on a 400 mile ride this weekend

This car is an absolute joy to drive.

This was my first real out-of-the-city highway trip with it. (Dallas - Austin - Dallas)

Drove down to Austin in custom sport mode. Return trip was in comfort mode.

The sophisticated stop and go systems, lane keeping assistant, and laser radar systems that keep you at safe distances from those in front of you are truly amazing.

The full massaging seats also made the ride very comfortable and less fatiguing than it normally would be.

The gas mileage on the highway was also great.

Bravo BMW.

Did you go to the MotoGP race at COTA by any chance?

How "active" is the lane keeping assistant? Does it only do its thing at low speed?

It works up to 150 mph. In fact, more accurate at faster speeds vs slower speeds

Thanks for the update Jwestfield! Glad it was a nice drive. I have a very long drive coming up this weekend (Saturday 16th April). Driving from San Francisco to Palm Springs (500 miles each way). Looking forward to opening my 750 up on I-5 So far, I have close to 400 miles on the odometer, but most of that has been in slow-ish city traffic.

Did you feel the need to turn on/off the stop and go or did you leave it on for the trip. One of the key reasons for our next buy is safety and for my wife to have this feature turned on all the time as an extra safety measure.
