BMW DEEP OBD For android. Free INPA on your phone..
Fairly new tool that is open source and can theoretically do anything INPA and Tool 32 can do on your computer. Surprised there are no guides on this tool yet in english.
This open source app uses the original BMW ECU files for OBD communication. Theoretically all operations that are possible with INPA or Tool32, could be also executed with this application. With a configuration generator simply select the diagnostics jobs to execute and create your own configuration files. For complex tasks the configurations files could be created manually. The application supports the following OBD II adapters: - Standard FTDI based USB "INPA compatible" D-CAN/K-Line adapters (all protocols) - ELM327 based Bluetooth and WiFi adapters. Recommended ELM327 versions are 1.4b, 1.5 and origin 2.1, which are based on PIC18F2480 processor (no MCP2515 chip) (D-CAN protocol only) - Custom Bluetooth D-CAN/K-Line adapter (BMW-FAST protocol over D-CAN and K-Line) - A replacement firmware for the ELM327 Bluetooth adapter is existing, that is faster, more stable and that also supports K-Line https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...k.bmw_deep_obd |

I downloaded this about a week or so ago, but haven't been able to actually test it out yet!
Anyone with any experience with this app chime in I'll be trying it out this weekend unless I have the chance sooner, so I'll report back. Just use Carly! (Disregard the $60 for the app, and the basically required re-labeled OBD adapter).

When I see how clunky Rheingold is, running on a core i7 with SSD, and it does what INPA does/did, I have to admit I'm a bit skeptical doing all the same on a phone. Part of me says one cannot expect phones to replace everything. But what was rather surprising was just this week, a buddy who is in the distribution space, said the newest guns run on Android (we're talking $3k RF guns)...seriously, I was surprised about that.

Yeah, I'll stick with NCSexpert, WinkFP, and MHD for all my coding and diagnostic needs for now haha.. Perhaps once this gets dwelled into a bit more by those more knowledgeable, and after the first batch of people mess their cars up, and than a fix is found for those same people, than I'll give it a shot..

My T61P installed Rheingold in over 30 min. The new laptop did it in 7. Please don't tell me you sell RF gun iPhone adapters for a living (there are nutjobs trying to do that). There's a reason a gun costs $3k (or more), and a phone costs $800 at full retail. |

(it is rather a joke that there is a movement to do that, but it's failing miserably right now. If you're say Target or Lowes or amazon.com, you will not bet your WMS infrastructure on a phone, like some pesky salespeople want you to). |

The hardware in an iPhone 6s is more powerful than the hardware in an RF Gun. The gun my store had that cost 2k was complete SHIT. It ran windows CE and had hardly any ram. Nothing wrong with slapping a scanner onto an iphone. |

Try and sell that kewl aid to Lowes, amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, they will throw you out of their DC by the scruff of your neck. The downtime in 10 min. is more than your annual salary for 10 years...
