Our 750i xDrive is on it's way to the dealer.

We got the call from the dealer that our car is being loaded onto transport carrier and will leave the VDC in New Jersey tomorrow. It should arrive at the dealer 24-48 hrs later, which will be Thursday or Friday.

Unfortunately I will be working this weekend so my wife will be making the 300 mile trip to pick up the car Friday or Saturday without me.

Here are the details of the car.

750i xDrive

Imperial Blue Metallic
Ivory White and Black Nappa Leather
Fineline Black Wood Trim
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assistance Plus
Driver Assistance Plus II
Executive Package
Display Key
19" Light Alloy Double Spoke wheels

We are very thankful to be getting the exact car we want without ordering and before any of the cars currently on the lots are even sellable. There are only two other unsold 750ix with this color combo in the US supposedly, and they are both subject to the stop sale.

That's excellent news speeddeacon!! So glad you got exactly what you wanted. Can't wait to see pics of this car. The color combination sounds incredible. I think I mentioned my last 7 series was Imperial Blue Metallic. I absolutely loved that color -- especially in direct sunlight.

Except the dealer called me last night to let me know that it didn't get loaded after all. VPC has to replace a seat belt tensioner before they release it. Hope to find out today if that has been accomplished or if it will be delayed 😕.

Ugh! They sure know how to stretch out the agonizing waiting haha! Just know the anticipation will make ownership sweeter. I'm absolutely loving my car, as I'm sure you will yours. And, on the plus side, maybe that means you'll be able to go get the car with your wife, instead of having her pick it up alone.

Thanks for the words of encouragement .

They have agreed to deliver the car to us instead, which is even better.

Glad to hear you are loving the car. I'm sure we will too!

Update from the dealer today says the repair is complete and is being released to the carrier tomorrow. He should have the car by the weekend. They will deliver the car to us when we get back from our two week vacation. It will make the dreaded coming home from two weeks off work much more tolerable!
