There won't be any speeding on Skyline drive if we go, it will be more of a cruise to enjoy the scenery.

Please try to take it easy when driving through Great Falls. The Georgetown Pike twisties are one thing -- the part that's twisty isn't too close to any houses -- but many of the other roads are in neighborhoods. You don't usually see any kids out on those roads, but from time to time, you'll see someone crossing the street or walking a dog or something. God forbid a kid wanders out there one day when some idiot is racing through. I just don't want someone who is unfamiliar with Great Falls read this thread and decide to come check it out to rip through the neighborhood streets. IMO the best driving streets are out in the more rural areas of VA -- head out towards Shenandoah and drive on the other mountain roads besides Skyline Drive. IIRC, someone (shim?) posted a map of a proposed drive last year, and it looked excellent.

Did this route a couple times in my MINI and loved it. Learned the hard lesson not to use my brakes so much on 60; I had to use the e-brake to get into town and let everything cool down.
