Anyone have a European Delivery (ED) scheduled?

Wanted to do one Aug/Sept of 2017 and was wondering if anyone had already scheduled anything for this year and how much they saved, if anything.

Thanks!

I read about someone that was offered ED at US MSRP! Talk about profit margin...

I know a few here have tried but getting allocation issues right now makes Euro Delivery impractical. You can probably pull it off next year some time but this year not likely. The two who have posted here stating a desire gave up. There is that group that does an annual trip for Euro Delivery that talked about focusing on the M2 but I haven't followed them so I don't know if that panned out. Might try a search and see.

I gave up on ED. 1 dealer I had a gentleman's agreement with for ED MSRP as was #1 on their list for over a year. He said they changed their policies and will no longer offer ED since it comes out of their allocation. Then he said you probably won't get a car this year. iamlong was planning on a M2 ED trip. Mentioned a guy named Miguel setting the whole thing up for @the end of May. I don't think that is happening.

Garage List
Canadians get a type of ED, no cash saved but it's still pretty cool.

I have a deposit down for a July 2017 ED of a MY2018 (will push back if the '18s aren't available yet).

The trip is still happening although with less cars. There is a very small group that is still getting M2 ED end of May. The rest of us either are renting or picking up different cars now (or not going).

I'll be renting an M4 with my friend instead. Sucks that I won't be driving my own M2 but I'll still be visiting the Welt and the major points for the trip are the track days and M festival.

Still holding on to #2 spot at the dealer with deposit but will most likely switch to just PCD delivery. My dealer would still let me do ED whenever they get the allocation but not sure I want to fly back just for 2 or 3 days.

I live in Atlanta. I'm doing my ED trip late May / early June. Scheduled pick up is June 1st.

It looks like some of you have managed it - did you get any savings or were you at MSRP? I hope it becomes a bit easier by next year.

Lesser of ED MSRP or invoice+ depending on market conditions at delivery

Dealer may have been full of brown stuff but I went in to get my deposit back and was told there were 2 allocations per month and I would be able to have a car by Sept (I'm #11 on the list). My goal was for ED in spring but also wanted to do Oktoberfest as a last resort (and even friggin more awesome!) so with that said the suggested dates are in and I'll have more info near end of June/July. The wait continues but Munich here I come!......(I hope)

Why not wait the 30 days for the LCI?

Which should be available July 2017

Edit: just realized he meant this year not next.

Yeah. I assumed he was talking a 2017 delivery because of the OP but I guess he meant 2016 so won't apply to him.

If you can swing it, that sounds like a solid deal. That's something I might go for if the LCI starts at the beginning of MY2018 (15 months away).

We have 15 M2s and the rest will be other M models. We struggled getting M2s and came up with a solution thanks to partnerships that everyone will read about in a major publication later this summer. We have an incredible trip all set to go for the Ring, Zandvort, and Spa with a grand finale at the M festival. Stay tuned for announcement later in May and June!

Thanks for clarifying. Assuming the dealer is telling the truth (ED for Oktoberfest! at MSRP minus 7% - not in writing as of today), I'm good with the looks of the car. Face lifts will happen...

Remembering back to 2006 when I took delivery of my 335i, the face lift shortly after looked great. As time passed I liked the raw look of the original model more, and really miss that car. It resides in Taiwan - sold on ebay.
