Different sets of tires for year round use for me on my current car (STi), though I'm not sure how I'll be with the M2 because RWD. All season for winter months. I probably won't drive the M2 in the winter with precipitation but winters are generally mild here.

I usually use them for winters. Since I have a winter beater now, I'll just hide the stockers in my basement

I usually just take them off and store them to leave them minty for trade in or potential future sale of the car. Sounds crazy but I usually have 3 sets of wheels on hand for every car stocks, winters, and summers.. I usually go down in size for winter so 18" to have more sidewall and then my summers are usually just wider and more aggressive
