Delayed Delivery

Supposed to have got my car this week but then told of a delivery stop -

"We have just been informed of a delivery stoppage for the F82 M4 GTS according to the attached VIN list, the guide sleeves for the support bearings on the rear shock absorbers must be replaced before the vehicle is delivered to the customer."

After all the development work that was done you would have thought this would not happen. BMW are fast becoming clowns in sorting out delivery of one halo car. Somebody needs to be sent for training on meeting customer expectations!!!!

Anyone in UK actually taken delivery yet?

My GT4 was held up in port for 1 month for "an emissions related" issue. It is not just BMW.

My production date recently slipped from week 32 to week 36.

We saw technical delays with the i8 that were found after production - fuel tank weld, etc. This delayed cars in transit for inspection and repair.

I took delivery at the welt on May 19 and my GTS had this issue during the trip in Europe. The rear suspension makes a loud squeaking sound when going over bumps. Walter from engineering took a ride in it and he already knew of the problem at that time.

Sorry but if the production started in march and they do 5/day GTS in 4 month they have to finish all the 700 cars...correct?

I have been instructed that car is built and I am expecting delivery next week; will contact dealer Monday for an update.

Only the earlier build GTS are affected.

Glad to hear someone else with this problem, was beginning to think I'm the only one. My dealer told me about 10 day ago that deliveries were being delayed indefinitely ( sure this will become clearer soon ) due to issues with the rear suspension.

Surprised there hasn't been more Internet chat about this anyone else been affected?

The recall was performed on my car before re-delivery. But the noise is still there, however it is much better than before the recall was done.

Just seemed odd to me everyone is driving their gts when I was told a recall was in progress but seems you are all having the same issue.

I'll just have to wait a bit longer then.

Hello I'm from Italy, my delivery time was 15/06/2016 but having not more info about the new delivery day from my dealer....

Any news about the european delivery?
In bmw italy told me today that the delay is due to the carbon seats...

That correct, euro delay is due to the part that is mount on floor that hold the seat. My car is also delay due to this
