Alcantara dash

I was out driving today and I started to wonder how the dashboard would look if it had the same material as the door inlays with the blue stitching.
Just wondering if anyone has been crazy enough to try it?

I think a few forum members have the MPerf Dash in alcantara. I've only see photos and IMHO, the raw CF is nicer.

You mean the whole dash I'm assuming??

It was an idea I had as well. I decided against it for now.

Check out INDs Blue Ice build for an alcantera dash on a 235.

I was thinking the upper half in the black leather with blue sticking, and the lower half (i.e. glovebox and below heating) in Alcantara.

I personally hope someone comes out with gloss carbon fiber trim instead of the dry.. Not a huge fan of it to be honest.

I was wondering about the headlining and vanity mirrors/sun visors. I've pinged an email out to a uk specialist....not expecting cheap!

That's absolutely correct, the whole dash.
I think it would look great and didn't know IND had already done a version on the 235i. looks excellent but also like the idea of leather top and alcantara bottom as mentioned.

I guess pulling the dash out is a complete nightmare!

No answer yet, hmm. Sent some F30 interior pics off stating it was similar (roof lining) and MSport wheel.

YES that's exactly it. Would look great on the M2. I wonder how easy just that part is to remove and re fit?

I always thought the m2 was missing dash leather or alcantara trim. I saw IND installation but being in the UK I guess not that easy to have done /-)

Last time I checked with trimmers though they were concerned about airbag functionality when covering a dash. Unless somebody knows anybody in the UK who would give it a go?

not a fan. though the center console wrap looks nice.

especially do not like the gloss cf, never did, looks like cheap plastic, which is funny considering people are saying the same about the open pore cf.

If you prefer the gloss look (I don't), check out dinmann. They can gloss cf pretty much anything.

Never mind the carbon. I want the leather dash to get rid of all that nasty plastic.
