Has anyone got the wheel arch flared?
I've been wanting to get a wider stance for my e92, wider tyres, larger set of alloys. I came across http://www.archenemy.co.uk/ who also offer flaring of the arches. Has anyone tried this at all? I think It would look good on the e92 coupe

Had it done by those guys on my e46 330 sport.
BMW traditionally have quite a large lip on the arches, especially the rears. So they usually flatten the lip back onto the inside of the arch which gains you some extra clearance - and then flared if required. I've got to be honest, with the flat lines of the e92, I think it'll look a bit crap personally having flared arches.o the rear, Also, the fronts being plastic means you'll either have to have front wheels that stick out and look pony (like the above picture), or a narrower track at the front compared to the rear - which is an odd look, and daresay would make the handling interesting. I'd rather go for wheels with a stonking concave or dish, and lower the car a little. But that's just my opinion. Archenemy have been doing this for years though, and would definitely be my choice if i was going down that route. |

Arch Enemy do great work. I have had the rear arch lips rolled twice by their Surrey agent as I went for a slightly wider tyre. With regards to flaring the arches it is stated on their site that there is a high chance that filler and paint will be required and imho I think it would mess with the lines of the car.

Flaring will look terrible. Just get it rolled really well.

Rolling flattens the inside of the fender flush.
Stretching stretches the fender outward without changing the look of the shape. Will give you the same room as flaring but no visible change to the bodywork. Flaring bends the lip outward visibly like pics above. |

Only if you knew exactly what it looked like before. Most people wouldn't know. You're just bending the whole quarter panel out 1/2" or whatever. It's cheap to. I'm having mine done for $60 for both sides to fit 305s.
