I'm on a boat! THALATTA

Due to be dropped in Oxnard on the 5th, and I'll be in Boston until the 13th of course.

Anyone else on this ship?

wow! That's quicker than I had originally thought it would take to get to the west coast. I'm in the LA area too so this is a good indicator that I'll get my car sooner than I had anticipated.

I had a week 25 build, finished production on 6/24. The tough part for the west coast is there are less ships but the wait still isn't too bad. For the SoCal area, I think W&W is the only carrier comes here for BMW, so you can check their schedules and approximate what ship you might end up on when it gets a bit closer. They only go out to August 15th departure date right now. If your car follows the same timeline as my car (2 weeks from complete to on a vessel), it'll probably hit Oxnard the week of September 19th or so.

Congrats, much quicker to the west coast than I was estimating. I have a week 36 build September 4-10th so I was guessing mid to late November before I would see my baby, perhaps I will see it a bit sooner.

Thanks! And yes, more likely late October is when you should see your car.

I'm week 36 as well. My dealer told me he thought it would go into production a few weeks earlier than that and that and that I could get it in September. He might just be trying to get my hopes up.

Whatever you do don't track the boat movement. Don't even click on a link about how to track a boat.

It's too late.

I couldn't help myself but I completely regret it now.

NOOOO. Don't even watch that. It's like waiting for the leaves to turn yellow and fall off the trees. I watched mine come up from the Panama Canal checking it 20 times a day, even though it only moved 2mm a day on the screen.

Thanks for the info! I've got a week 32 build so that just about fits in with the 08/15 ship-date. I had anticipated taking delivery in October but from the looks of it, I may have my car earlier.

Oh man. You're near the port. I'd recommend going down there to supervise the unloading personally. At least keep an eye on it from the other side of the security fence
