Any good writers here?
Looking for someone to write an article for the next dB about how much fun we have at the socials. Maybe we can also send it in to the Roundel?
Here's the job description: 1) Attend a few socials over the next month or so, preferably at various locations. 2) Eat, drink, talk BMWs at each social (this is the hard part) 3) Capture the atmosphere, commaderie, and enthusiasm of fellow NCC members 4) Take pictures to capture the unforgettable moments (you'll have plenty of help with this) 5) Remember what you have witnessed and put pen to pad (or fingers to keyboard). In my continuing effort to spread the word about our monthly/weekly events, I am still baffled at how only a small percentage of chapter members actually attend our social events. Maybe the writer can help determine the reasons and solutions in his/her journalistic research http://forum.nccbmwcca.org/showthrea...2818#post22818

I've been known to write pretty well, and have experience as an amateur journalist for both HS and College papers. I have also written a fan club column for NHL.com in the past...
I would gladly do it, but need to really make an effort to attend the socials.

Scott, Any chance you are a Cap's fan? My wife is making an effort to get in to Hockey because A great portion of my life was dedicated to playing. I am trying to find a good Cap's fan club so she can track the team, emails for recaps and the like. As for the socials, I am finally leaving the military in 92 days and will be back in DC. I am going to make an effort to attend and see how I like it. Thanks,

YES, I am a huge Caps fan, season ticket holder, etc, etc...I have been playing hockey for 25 years...I try to get to most of the home games, and I still play three leagues in the NoVA area...the Caps fan club (which can be found on the washingtoncaps.com home page is a great organization, they do lots of away game trips, fun stuff, have heir own internet chat group, and such...I have not been very close with the fan club for a while, but I can vouch for their dedication.
