Sometimes it's painful to watch
I'm at the carwash waiting on my wife to run through. I look to my left at the people using the vacuums and I see a dude using window cleaner to scrub at something on his hood.
First off, no telling what's in that cleaner. It's the stuff this place provides to its patrons. Secondly, he's scrubbing like there's no tomorrow. Hello paint scratches.

Hard to blame them. There are a lot of places that suggest using windex to get bugs, bird droppings, and tar off your car. I'm sure I've done it before, but not now that I'm more informed.
