Has anyone run VP?
Going to a drag strip in a couple of weeks and was thinking of picking up 5 gals of VP C12. Will it help at all or should I just fill the car with 94? Nothing has been done to the car, so I can't see it doing much, but may help with turbo temps.

Unleaded racing fuel is fine to use but I would not expect a big difference if you're already running 94 AKI on the factory tune. 94 AKI should be enough for the DME to advance timing about as far as it's going to want to go. A tuned car can make use of higher octane fuels but throwing too high of an octane at a stock car is just wasting money. VP Racing 95 is ton more potent than California 91 octane and I sometimes run it in my car, it runs a lot stronger on the 95. |
