Get ur exhaust to crackle?

Hey!

Just wondering how i get my exhaust to crackle. I got a 325i with PE rear muffler. Wondering about taking away the rear muffler completely or maybe delete the resonator?

I dont really know if it will sound too much caus it is fairly loud now. But what would you recommend me to do if i want some crackles in the exhaust?

Can i do anything with the cats without ruining the values of emission?

regards!

Not necessarily. There's got to be the component of some more back pressure, which some of our turbo(s) help with. I'm not too sure how to achieve that on the N52.

The crackle on 335s is due to the way they are tuned. Exhaust mods only make it louder, they don't create it if it's not there in the first place.

Everybody already beat me to it, but yeah, if your exhaust doesn't crackle in the first place, you probably won't be able to make it crackle with any mods. Enjoy the driving experience of your car instead of the sounds it makes, isn't that what the N52 is for anyway?

I think those with the full PE get the sound you want so many a resonator delete might work since you already have the PE muffler?

Wow another one

Hey OP congrats on your first 10 posts! Check out the search button up top, it's fantastic. Then you could get one of those new v6 Mustangs - not a very fast car, but they've done all they can to make it look and sound like one. Here's the website. http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/trim/v6fastback/

Tune or take out the cats, if you don't want it much louder you could put resonators in where the cats were

I think the full PE exhaust from BMW deletes the resonator if I'm not mistaken. I've seen videos of a 330i like my car that crackles. That may be due to the different tuning of the 330i n52 however. I would not recommend a muffler delete however. I did it and HATED it. Yeah it cracked and what not, but it didn't really sound like a beautiful BMW inline 6, and don't even get me started on the drone. Worst $200 I ever spent on my car ($120 to delete the muffler and $80 to put it back).

Yea maybe the resonator is the way to go then. The thing is. I got the n53 engine that I think only exists in Europe? I have heard n52 crackle but never a n53 so I dont want to waste money on the resonator delete if it wont change anything :S Been wondering about tuning the fuel diffrently but dont know how that works. Like the mhd flasher for n54

Here's my 328i with just the BMW PE. I've done no other changes to the exhaust.

It crackles like no tomorrow and needless to say, I love it!

No clue if the PE has the resonator deleted.

Yes, it's an N52.

Its a resonator delete in the US. If you look at the kit, it has a piece of piping to replace the resonator.
