Anyone run staggered snow tires?

I'm trying to decide what to do about my winter tire setup on my E92 335xi coupe. I'm using the stock 193M wheels, 18x8 F & 18x8.5 R. Going with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4. Part of me wants to run the stock 225/40-18 and 255/35-18 tire sizes for fun handling when it's not snowing, but the rational/practical side is telling me to go with a square 225/40-18 setup all around. Is anyone running the 255/35-18 snow tires? Should I just go with the square 225/40 setup and run spacers in the rear to get them a bit more flush?

Staggered tires are more fun? I guess if you like more understeer they are

I would just do 225/40 square. 255 rear won't make any difference besides adding more understeer.

I suppose I should mention that I have the stock xi front sway bar, E93 M3 rear bar, and -2.25 front/-2 rear camber. I did this based on running staggered summer tires with awd. It's very well balanced on the summer tires. My thought process was to keep that same general balance albeit with lower total grip on the snows.
