purchase process

Hi Guys,
I am a first timer planning to buy CPO 328. I am in lower mainland/Vancouver. Can any one share the whole purchasing process after a test drive. Like what kind of fee/items they try to add/upsell to your finance agreement. Anything to be wary of while signing purchase agreement ?

Thanks a lot

Question

Yeah, I noticed that too. Thanks. Actually so far I have found Langley BMW has best prices. But my main question was to know in advance if possible, about all those bogus charges/fee/upsell or insurance they try to pressure sell and how to avoid them. Any specific term and condition which I should be aware of while signing purchase agreement.

Thanks

Skip the 328 and go straight to a 335. Much faster car!

Well then I should probably buy MMM

but that probably would be too much to handle - motion, money, maintenance for me

Op looking for used, therefore no freight/pdi.

Typically, dealer will list admin fee, doc fee as the min. In my view, don't pay any of these since they have marked up the asking price so high already.

Autowest BMW in Richmond often has good pricing. Lots of barely driven used 2016's from the rich kids haha

1200 ?!!!!
I see something around 600$ here
http://www.brianjesselbmwpreowned.co...9a4bf6ab1b.htm

although even thats a ripoff too.
But definitely, Brian Jessel is 'more' expensive than others. But they do have more selection.
I test drove there one last week and between Autowest and Brian Jessel I found cars cleaner and drives better at Brian Jessel.

$600 each for doc and pdi = 1200

north shore is 300 (or 395, i forget) for both doc and pdi

Hi don't mean to thread jack.. I am unable to start a new thread since I am a new member?

I need some expertise on what you all think is the most reasonable offer for the following 328i. Dealer will not go under $25,000. I offered 24,500 and it was turned down. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Not worth the $25k asking to begin with.

Move on to another dealer. Fair would be around $22,000 (it has a $2400 claim)

Extended warranty is extra.

If it has been sitting this long, then certainly it's not priced to move.

Let the dealer keep the trophy car

I agree. It's hard to believe they will let the deal fall apart over $500. Its being sold CPO until 09/19 and I got them to throw in the black kidney grills.

Ad says extended warranty at extra charge.. Which means they would be looking at $28.5k

Cool

As others suggested if dealer is really stuck for 500$, then forget it but if you want to pursue, one method may be to find very similar cars from other bmw dealers in area and make a spreadsheet and show those stock items which are similarly or lower priced. There may be a chance then.

Just a tidbit,

If you're going to finance thru BMW Financial Services Canada, they charge a $500 fee (new or used). Make sure you take that into consideration when negotiating.

From my experience in the lower mainland, Auto West BMW seems to be the most straightforward with negotiating on their inventory while Brian Jessel seems to play a lot of hard ball.

The guy is looking at used inventory. Each car is going to be valued differently based on inventory age, condition, options, etc...

8% may work for new inventory (easily attainable at any dealer) but it would probably be a little on the low side for used. In many cases, they mark it up enough for you to negotiate their asking price taxes in if you've done your research. But there are cases that the dealer has listed it as their "bottom" price and it may be fair depending on the current market value of the car.

Sorry, you are absolutely right, Tim!...I thought it is for new.
