It screams class. Also, some cars look great with no roof. I think they are destined to be in spider form. The Gallardo Spider is a great example - looks great!

The Murcielago roadster is an example of a brilliantly well done spider as well. The surface complexity is insane on the rear end.

Great looking car indeed. The rear end really captures the retro feel of the old spyder. I see that alot more roadsters are following design cues with a tall rear deck shape (a-la Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice, Benz SLK, etc..). It looks like the driver is sitting in a tub, though I think as I see more roadsters coming out, this design is starting to grow on me.
