I really like the torqbyte controller so far. Boost and rpm. It can be operated just boost if you'd like as well.

I Have the DVC 30, wish I had the DVC 100 or another controller. Running 1000cc starting at about 24lbs boost and its all in at 30. I would like a little more adjustment for my current and future boost levels.

I'm using snowperformance mpg max controller and love it, super easy to set. U can use either boost or EGTs for the meth

Know I forgot about that one, but it's seems a bit overkill for my single nozzle.
But it looks to be the best on the market I see.

It's not overkill at all.

I can tell how i did mine. I bought a nitrous oxide controller from NOS. It has a user programable interface on the computer and you can use boost, rpm, tps and a few other parameters. I just used boost. I like it because i can make my own curves but you would have to tie into all the sensors which i dont like but thats completely normal. Also it has 2 channels so you can run one pump and two solenoids or 2 pumps. Also it can change the pwm frequency in hz from 15 to 60hz which could be handy for fine tuning. So i just ran mine real simple in my vw and on one really large nozzle i could quench the combustion if i wanted but other than that i can run a really large nozzle and tune it so it isnt overkill and just have as big a nozzle as i will ever need. This pulses the pump as they can be pwm but i had plans to pulse a solenoid and run the pump full psi. Another advantage of this controller is it has additional triggers so you can trigger the pump on 100% when activated and it will pulse the solenoid(s) at whatever duty cycle and frequency you want just like a fuel injector. The only thing is the only one company i could find has solenoids capable of such a setup and that's wizards of nos. Their pulsoids are good for 1,000,000 or so cycles and can handle varying frquencies and pressures. 250 psi will be no problem for them at all. So i set mine up super simple for proof of concept and it worked perfectly. Run one channel for w/m and the other for nitrous hehe.

^Another good idea thanks for sharing. I thought about that once but didn't pursue.

My torqbyte controller is still rock solid, without one hiccup. The torqview Bluetooth device is awesome as well, plug and play. I'm starting injection at 26psi/2300rpm, I did lower before but find this more optimal.

Firmware updates and customer service is top notch! Their LPFP controllers look appetizing for our ds as well, hmm...

Can I ask how you are finding the change from boost switch to a digital controller?

No. Originally I was, but the snow nozzle check valves work great along with another check upstream.

You run the wiring I believe to gpo1 and then adjust over the software. I guess the main advantage would be to pre prime the pump before the nozzles spray.

I love it. The mechanical boost switch can be somewhat unpredictable and can build boost too early causing quench.

The torquebyte controller is completely programmable. I'm comfortable leaving it on all the time now driving with no issues. Once you dial it all in perfectly you'll be happy.

All of this feedback is great. Anyone have data to support their claims of getting a good tune? Rpm versus Boost should be a decent start for a map. What EGTs are you targeting? Same with AFR. With all due respect, anyone just using boost is leaving a lot on the table. This is a situation of compromise, as no one has produced a commercial system that controls AFR and EGT independently. Finally, large nozzles with PWM of the pump have inferior atomization, which creates unbalanced distribution. Yes, for some folks, I am being nit picky. Guilty as charged, no harm intended.

I guess my point is that you have to decide what and how you want to control before you can decide on a controller. IMO, you need at least rpm and boost as inputs, in order to create a decent map for open loop control. If you want any level of closed loop control, you need EGT, or EGT and AFR. I am not aware of anyone marketing a closed loop WMI system, but that just indicates how crude these things are. What is interesting is some of the available controllers could actual perform closed loop operation for this application.

Where did you pull RPM from?
