225/35/19 & 265/30/19 on BMW 313 Rims

Hello

I have 313 rims 19x8 front & 19x9 rear with current tire size 225/35/19 & 255/30/19. I was planning to get new tires and was thinking to go 225/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear.

front rim- 19x8
rear rim-19x9

Do you think 265/30/19 is ok with 19x9 rims?
I was considering this setup for 2 reasons:
1) slightly fat tire look at rear
2) 225 and 265 have less diameter difference than 225 and 255.

Please Advice for BMW E92 335xi. Thank you

Yes, 265's on a 9" wheel will be fine.

Look at the tire's specific specs in each size. The Dunlop's I run had a smaller rolling diameter difference between 235's and 265's than the 225's and 265's. Every manufacturer and tire model vary-not all tires of the "same size" are the same size.

Why not up the front to 235/35 as well? That's the ideal match to the 265 rear...

I've run that setup on OEM 19x8/19x9 rims on multiple E9X cars.

Thank you @twastheglow and the 6M3 for the information.
225/35/19 rolling diameter- 25.2
235/35/19 - 25.5
265/35/19 - 25.3

which one would suit. An once i has 235.35.19 & 265.30.19 on previous rims, the steering wheel sometimes used to get heavy on corners.

Either keep 225/35/19 and 255/30/19, or upside to 235/35/19 and 265/30/19. This keeps the overall rotating diameter the same front and rear vs. stock. Countless people run that size and there are no issues to be had.

If those are specific specs for the tires you're looking at, then the 225 and 265 would obviously be the best choice as there's only a .1 difference between the two-and on an xi, the closer you can get your front to rear rolling diameters, the better. As I mentioned, the disparity between sizes will differ from brand to brand and model to model. You have to check their specs to determine-and it sounds like you did just that.

Tires AND wheels vary in weight. So if you had heavier tires and heavier wheels than what you have now, that's why you'd notice the difference in steering feel.
