any OC'ers have 6000k osrams they can compare with me?
hey guys,
about 3 weeks ago, i ordered osram 6000k d1s bulbs for my car from suvlights.com. they called me back a day later saying that their osrams were out of stock for about 3-4 weeks so they offered to send me these fusion lights for $75 cheaper claiming that they give the same output in lumens as the osrams. though skeptical, and unable to find specs for the fusions online, i took their word for it and went ahead with the order. however, after installing them, i get the sense that these aren't bright at all and i'm actually pretty disappointed with the lights. i called suvlights.com back and complained about the light output yet they stood by their initial claim saying that they should be the same quality and i should just wait for them to burn in some more. well, now its been three weeks and no improvement. i feel like i'm not getting the best output. SO...i was wondering if anyone around irvine had an e90/e92 with osram 6000k bulbs so that i can compare the light outputs of each. i must cure this mental itch or im going to go insane! if it is brighter, then im going to call suvlights back and try to get them to replace my fusions. side note: what is it about acuras (s2k, tl, tsx) that makes their lights SO bright? the ballasts? lens? bulb? thanks |

On your side note, I'd say it's likely the reflector design and its beam cutoff.
The HIDs on my 335i smoke the aftermarket ones (4300K, 50W) I had on my Elise. I know for a fact that those headlights have a seriously sharp cutoff. |

i like their cutoff as well and also the s2000 one. remember the higher kelvin temp the lower output it'll make.

Too bad I'm all the way on the East Coast or I would have helped you out.
To me, the lights are pretty bright, but definitely not as bright as the OEM 4500k. GL! I love my 6000k, they're just so much whiter than stock, with a hint of blue.
