New Ammo NYC product: Boost car wash additive
Looks pretty interesting. I really like this guy's attitude, but I've yet to try his stuff. I think I'm going to give his full suite a shot this year. Until then, here's a video for you to enjoy. Especially those in the snowy regions.

I saw that video yesterday, a little too much small talk so didn't really pay close attention. Being the skeptic I am, I question the anti-corrosion properties of the Boost..when he talked molecular alignment.

Well, most detailing product companies talk about molecular bonds and whatnot. At the end of the video he does some tests to prove the rust protection properties though. That dude is passionate about detailing and his products though. the only thing I'm skeptical of is whether or not his stuff is that much better than products that cost less like chemical guys and/or Adams.

Oh yeah, Larry is 'The Man'. Totally respect him and his videos are legendary.
And his products I'm sure aren't junk, probably rather good. Larry is so OCD in a good way, I just don't pay attention to his vids like I once did. |

Larry is a heavy hitter and hangs out with some of the best detailers in the world. He also details some of the best cars in the world. I was watching a video of him preparing a car for the Pebble Beach Concours

I like his videos, mostly because he is so ocd and into it.
In regards to this product, it would be hard to say compatible with all soaps, as you would have to have something pretty benign in there. For example, glycerin would do everything in the video. Nothing that is water soluble will be a great corrosion inhibitor and certainly not in those quantities diluted in unknown concentrations of other unknown chemicals (whatever is in your soap). His test is submerging, so in theory you would need to use same concentration in the wash and rinse, or about 1 gallon of winter wash for the avg. carwash if you factor in rinsing the car off. Auto cleaning supply companies make some crazy claims, nano particles, liquid ceramic, shit they should be working at DARPA. |
