New wheels for 18" 335i
Looking for new wheels to replace the 18" Luxury Line wheels that came on my Black Sapphire Metallic 335iH. Was looking at a price point at preferably no more then $300 per wheel because I just can't justify out of principle the idea of spending thousands of $ on wheels. Looking for either gunmetal, dark silver, or last resort black and not a ridiculous amount of spokes, would like them to be fairly simple looking. Would also like to stay at 18" wheels. been looking at these wheels:

those are quite heavy for 18s. if you have a price of $300/wheel and sticking with 18s you have a lot of options. I wouldnt settle on just bbs.

Try ebay, or craigslist also for some you could get local. I found a great set of BMW factory OEM wheels on ebay for about $300 each which is a steal.

Try going to Tirerack.com and use their wheel fitter to search for what you want. You can specify size, price, offset, colour and a whole bunch of other options, then it filters based on your choices. Best part, you can see a mockup of them on your car.

Thanks for your help everyone! I've tried the tirerack website and the mock up, although fairly helpful, just somehow looks a little bit off although it did narrow down a few choices. Since I literally just installed new 18" tires and since I don't plan on frequently driving super fast, I felt the pros for 18" vs 19" were more towards more needs.
I'll probably go with BSS since SupremePower in LA is offering me pretty competitive rates out the door installed. |

Yep, I saw from ebay seller: extreme_wheels that they were offering pretty competitive prices which included free shipping and no tax since they're in Arizona. Not sure how much an installation on wheels here would cost but as I mentioned above, SupremePower seems to be offering me decent pricing on same sets which more or less negate the price benefit from ebay so I'm leaning towards them for now.

BBS SR are quite popular on here as a winter setup. I bought a set and although they could be lighter, I'm happy with the look and finish. I am hoping the brand and the fact they're made in Germany mean they're reasonably strong as OEM BMW wheels and replicas bend quite easily.
The SX is a good looking wheel as well. Mine: sure_mac's car: Last edited by motorwerkeman; 01-24-2017 at 04:30 PM.. |

I have it narrowed down to the BBS XA or SR, decided I didn't really like the VMR's (too many spokes). Seems like the SRs are more popular, but I kinda prefer the bolts being in the smaller "gap" spoke section:

I like the SR wheel and would have considered it, but there aren't any options with staggered wheels in 18" for 5x120 that I saw. With that said, I think it is a better option than the XA only because there are only 2 options for the XA in 5x120 in 18" in regards to color. Still no staggered setup. So either one looks like you will have to go with a square setup, but more color option with the SR

tsw geneva, rotary forged. couldn't find the weight but i believe it is around 20lbs maybe less. definitely lighter than 26lbs.
enkei also has lighter wheels available using their MAT(=flow forming) process apex has a new production sm-10 and fl-5 both are very light (under 19lbs) but may be out of your budget. there is a group buy going on with that, though. sorry the group buy is over.
