Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 3, wide or narrow?

Is Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 3 considered to be a wide or narrow tire?

I am considering 235/45-17 ET20 on a 2011 E91 M-sport with lowering perches in the front. This will give the same fender clearance as the common 255/40-17 ET30, only with a slight larger diameter, and I understand this is a tight fitment and if it will be ok or not is depending on if the tire is wide or narrow to its size.

They will have a slight "rim protector" bulge that extends beyond the rim (and, at least on the AS2, it's so soft that it does bugger-all to protect the rim).

I have a pair of these tyres on my fronts (225/45 r17)
Great tyres. Very smooth and quiet.

Per above they do look like they are bulky on sides due to the rim protector.

Unsure if considered narrow/wide though

Go to tirerack.com and review the specs of the tire in your particular sizes. Compare these specs with the specs of a tire you are familiar with for comparison. They will specifically list the tread with of each tire in each size.

They are definitely not narrow. Narrow is like a Kumho KU39.
They are comparable to a runflat in terms of width.

I have them on my rear and they were quite a pleasant surprise. Quiet, grip from the moment i left the workshop unlike other tyres which are slippery from the mould release materials. And they grip very well - i rarely see the traction light anymore. Coming from 245/35-18 half worn PSS to the Goodyears in 225/45-17, it was very surprising. Still yet yo punt the car through some fun roads though
