JB+ Quick Install for B48/B58 Under Development **EDIT** Released!!

Hey guys,

BMS has been working on a version of the popular JB+ quick install tuner for the B48/B58 and initial testing is about done. Installs in literally seconds and adds a user adjustable 0-4.5psi boost increase. While it's not going to provide the same features and performance a JB4 can it's a good way to get your feet wet with tuning at a low price. The price to HP gain ratio is excellent. Includes a one year 100% trade up credit towards a JB4 should you feel the need for more power down there road.

Mike

Is there a reason why you didn't went with dual sensors like the Dinantronics Sports Tuner ? From their perspective it couldnt be done via a single sensor unit and just interested in the difference.

93 Oct support? And how does it compare (powerwise) to JB4 Map1? Im also assuming the shift lag will be eliminated?

Power will be around the same as JB4 map1, maybe a little less. It does not have any of the JB4 advanced features so don't expect much more than the mild power boost.

In terms of single sensor vs. twin all I can share publicly is so far the single sensor approach has been working well in their B58 testing so far.

Would have been nice to have jb+ released before JB4 (This way JB4 would have had more research time and possibly more consistency) seeing all the issues with JB4.

Sadly thinking about downgrading to jb+ but will wait for some users to test this time before buying my self

That's sweet! That should completely wipe the dinan sport off the map lol. If I was to timid to go JB4 this would be a great option. Luckily I'm not

The JB4 has been working very well and problem free. Only complaints I've seen is from people running a catless downpipe and that isn't a JB4 issue but they will work on a JB4 map to try to tune around it. If you have a B48/B58 JB4 and need help post on the n54tech support section so you can get your setup sorted.

No it hasn't. There have been users on n54 tech and here with complaints. Heck, a user posted his JB4 for sale yesterday because of it.

And yes, I've posted on n54 tech and I just got the EWG wires Terry recommended. The issues have been the same with or without a aftermarket downpipe.

I can't speak to your experience but I've sold at least 100 of them and not come across any issues, other than the thread on n54tech relating to users reporting a low throttle issue with downpipes. The JB4 is a fully programmable system that includes the ability to datalog so if you or anyone needs assistance with it you'll find that assistance on n54tech.

Finally this is why I was considering the Dinan sport but now I have a second option. Any news on pricing and when official release is? Also how is the boost adjusted by the user is there blue tooth and it's done via phone like the Dinan or has to be through a laptop? Also will putting it on a Mppk car be an issue or same boost increases

Adjustment is very easy using a dial on the system. Price is the same as the F series JB+ but I can't post pricing information in this area of the forum.

It's in alpha testing. Terry is looking for 10 people at half price as we speak. I got in last night and I think I'm first.

Almost identical HP and TRQ bump as MPPSK, interesting! Any word on if it's MPPSK compatible?

Should be nearly identical. Jb+ is only $200

Jb+ dyno was on 91. Add a catback to the jb+ and it might pick up a few more

This mppsk was on 93
