Dinan stage1 installation

Hey guys
Just got my dinan stage1 module and wanted to know
If anyone have an installation guide or photos , I have no Idea where to plug the sensors ,also who does it work with the app,this guys also never pick up or calls back , customer service score 0

In case anyone else has been trying to reach us via phone/email today I will apologize. Our entire town has been without power most of the day due to some pretty fierce storms that have knocked down a bunch of lines. With VOIP that means power also kills the phones hence why we have been dormant.

Power was just recently restored (at least for the time being) and the 2 of us left have been trying to touch base with who we can but its a losing battle at this point...

Any emails / calls will be returned on Tuesday after the holiday weekend.

Wrong video though. Was a sport installation not a stage 1 install.

Ok let me fix this guys
I got a fast reply from dinan via private msg
So I take my words back , and yes it's a sport installation not stage 1 , I followed all the instructions and the app couldn't find the module also I got a code so definitely something went wrong , installers in the Sherman oaks area ?

Regarding your customer service:

Not for nothing. But I had my car at Ridgefield BMW (Dinan Dealer) in CT for a Shockware install, Thursday Feb 16th. They were trying to connect to your server for hours and had no luck, then when they tried contacting your customer service and tech support again for hours... no pickup and no return call. I thought it couldn't be possible so I tried calling a few times myself from the waiting room...sure enough, nothing. It's shameful guys!! Common!....I sat there and waited for almost 5 hours and walked away with an apology from them. I'm hoping to get back in next week when the issue is resolved.

But seriously, I'm not trying break balls here but just please get your $#it together.

From what I've seen on the news S. CA had the rains move in on Tuesday and started flooding everything. Morgan Hill (Dinan location) looks like theirs started on Wednesday. So from mid week on looks like their area was getting hit pretty good. I know it sucks to be trying to get something and then it not work out. Happened with me and a stage 2 tune back with my X1. Fair enough... I had thought from their response that they had gotten hit on Friday. I'm not unreasonable either, and getting stuck or being on the path of any bad storm sucks...I recall vividly what Sandy was like up here. Unfortunately stories of poor customer service from them aren't isolated to Storms, so that was perhaps the reason for my short fuse on the topic. I hope they made out ok of course...and am still hopeful to do business with them...

So I'm planning to go back this week for the download...let's see what happens.

Let me decide what I deserve and what I don't , if you want to help fine if not keep your comments to yourself , I'm getting CEL every time I turn the ignition on saying the engine is overheating ?

OP, I'm thinking it's time for you to go to the Dealer. Get the car right first then worry about Dinan. If you want my advice about what to tell the Dealer it would probably be to either play dumb or have the wife take it in and have her play dumb. It might help Dealer fix it if they knew what happened with the Dinan Module but it dam sure won't help get any repairs covered by warranty. The Dealer and/or BMW will probably figure it out anyway at some point but no need for you to help them. Good Luck!

I'm not worried about the dealer , when I unplug the unit car is running just fine and the CEL light comes off , I just want to get this got damn thing working, I emailed dinan the installation pics to make sure I did it right which I'm sure I did , now waiting for a call back to see what they have to say , I'll update .

Just out of curiosity do you have a way to read what the codes are the car is generating when the Sport is attached ?
