Yes watching this but catching up, not up to the SK chap beating them yet. The Polish guy was my favourite to date, he was not messing about!

Same here, been watching on catchup. Polish guy was good - memorising those characters at the top of the hill must of been so demoralising if you got it wrong and had to go back up!

Was in my local tyre centre this morning and the manager is an ex-para and SAS.
We got chatting and this came up in conversation. He reckoned the training in real life was actually a lot easier than it's made out in the program. Real training is difficult but over a much longer time. He also said the military bit was much easier than the physical part as well which surprised me. A lot of training civilians do is not always helpful - being bulked up can be a disadvantage . Maybe that's why the girls seem to be doing better Even if not very realistic I've enjoyed watching it, sitting in my armchair sipping a glass of wine in the comfort of my home watching the candidates suffer. |

The first episode was a head scratcher, didn't some really fit guy last about 10 minutes?
When your mates see that at work etc oh poop. I think he was just shocked by the heat or something. I must say I would LOVE to take part in kind of thing. Ninja Warrior UK too.

Exactly what is your gripe? Yes I was on the reds, and? Big deal, it's pretty much a standard posting. Para's, no, thats army btw, RAF do not do that stuff apart from PTI's and 2 Regiment (enough said about those). SAS, anyone that says they were in 'Them' pretty much were not. Seals, apart from exercise Brave Defender, the majority of people don't even meet any. Just for info though, some of our command courses used to be at Hereford, which is beside RAF Credenhill.. Another just for info is the series on BBC2 SAS Rogue Warriors, covers most of the history of the regiment. Appogies yes I bit, however just been visiting my niece in intensive care, so I am rather narky. |
