Hey all
Just got my unit for the B58 engine and tried to install it , the app connect and disconnect all the time , also I didn't get throttle response when I started the engine , it overheated which didn't make any sense , so I unplugged it and car is running normal again but I still got the drivetrain malfunction on , anyone has experience this problems ? |

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...1327793&page=3. Interested to see what Dinan has to say about this. How much did the car overheat by and how long after you installed it did it start to overheat? Were you running it hard? |

The thing is I couldn't even run it cause I had no throttle response , and it over heat a lil over 260
I got drivetrain malfunctioning it was very weird ,I removed it drove a little and the CEL light went off , I don't know what's up with the guys at dinan but they never pick up the phone it's like they have no customer service at all,I got a quick response from them here on the forum but that didn't help much , problem is still there , hope to hear from someone there I left a voice msg , I'd love to hear if anyone is having the same issue with the B58 engine . |

I wonder if the firmware version has anything to do with how the Dinan tuner behaves (I am no expert on this though so this is just an idea).
I have v58.3 on mine and def noticed a difference in throttle response after the dealer updated my firmware (previous version felt much faster). Perhaps this could cause the tuner to behave differently on newer firmware versions? I got the 58.3 update in May 2016. My car was built in Oct 2016 (forgot which version it had before). I wont get to install the tuner for a couple weeks, but when I do I'll post an update on how it goes. |

I was thinking about the Dinan Sport Performance tuner too, but not so sure any more. Dinan never answered any of my calls or inquiries and now seeing them taking 3 weeks to replace a lemon after your engine overheated.

Ok so finally new unit came in the mail
I installed it today , definitely feel the power the tune is fun but CEL came after 10 minutes, no issues with power or how the car drives ,guess I can live with the light , hopefully the ECU Will adjust and the light will go away . |
