FS: 1974 VW Sandrail-2.0 AEG Turbo-250hp-Street Legal

Up for sale is my 1974 vw sandrail with an aeg turbo motor. i'll start with a backstory, then try to list everything i remember, then post pictures and a link to a build thread.

14,190.43$ invested (from receipts and purchase cost)

i have 7490.43$ in receipts for parts
purchased for 4000$
porsche rear brake custom kit 600 (no receipt)
1500 for the aeg motor
600 in welding/fab labor cost

totalling $14,190.43

I bought this in pretty rough shape on July 30th of 2015. it was in pretty rough shape. it had a 1600cc aircooled motor with 3 rib bus tranny. only had rear drum brakes, did not stop for anything. had cable clutch which was a little rough to drive. seats were tore up fiberglass, little steering wheel, poor wiring etc. i brought it home, parked it in garage and started tearing it apart that weekend. i didnt even drive it until i had all the brakes and major issues fixed. after i had it to a pretty decent point, i drove it around for a while with the 1600cc motor. then i went to change the spark plugs and the previous owner had stripped one of the spark plug holes pretty bad and the head would of had to be replaced. at this point i decided i would swap the motor to something fuel injected with more power. my original plans were to do a vr6 swap, however, my friend had a 2.0 aeg 8v motor out of a 2000 jetta. so i decided to buy that from him and pieced together a turbo kit. i used megasquirt to manage the electronics and fuel injection. megasquirt was installed and dyno tuned by jeff linfert of myrtle beach. he did a great job and the rail is absolutely crazy, scary fast. it has been my long time project and i have dumped over 14k into this over the year and half i have had it. i am starting pharmacy school in august and need extra cash since i wont be able to work for 4 years. therefore, i am selling this for 10k obo.
