bmw sports seats would be ideal. You can swap them in with a little re-wiring, depending on which seats/power options you have now. keep in mind if you get anything other than factory bmw seats, you'll get the airbag warning light, since the seats have side airbags in them.

You'll need to use BMW seats or forego the side airbag (which if missing will trigger a fault). If you hate the stock seats, sport seats would be a good upgrade. If only the stock surface bothers you, your cheapest option would be re-fitting them with different fabric.

Like others have said, you should be able to swap the BMW sport seats straight in depending on the options your car currently has. My car came with heat and lumbar support, I found that the inflatable bolsters in the sport seats plugged right in to the circuit that was already providing power to the lumbar in my stock seats.
I suggest searching eBay and/or local junkyards for a set.

I've been looking for a sport seat in tan/beige for a year now and so far nothing on the market. I checked ebay, amazon, kijiji, craigslist, forum, nope - nothing
I guess color is an issue, very hard to find just driver or front seats in good condition and proper color. Lot's of black or other colors. Also lots of full interior for sale, but rarely someone sells just driver seat |

That's a good idea, I haven't thought about it - out of the box thinking! However, is it that easy - I mean aren't there airbag in the seats (so during swap airbags will be on the wrong side) and will hardware match to bolt it on to the floor?

No one is a fan of non-sports seat in a BMW!
I think someone should tell BMW that if spending over $50,000 for a sports sedan then sport seats should be standard by default. If you have a black or beige interior then eBay will be your friend. More so for black seats since 90% of all cars made from 2000 onwards seem to have black interiors! I have oyster dakota leather and I've been looking for years for sports seats for my color with no success.

I have a super nice one that I put in my standard seat 2011 E91
I have subsequently bought a proper clutch pedal equipped car with sport suspension and seats and the buyer of my wagon didn't want the sport seat (he is 82) Here is the link for my driver's seat: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...3#post20835883 FYI, this is a simple plug in as far as wiring goes, just transfer your computer to the new seat no weird codes appear, nothing for the time it was in my wagon, NO ONE knew that the pass and drivers seat were different (sport vs non sport), it blends in that well |

Seat swaps are only plug and play for the same equipment. If you have power, lumbar and heat then you are fine. If you just have power, you will need to run additional wires to get the heat (on pass side) and lumbar (on drivers side) to work.
