Filling up the tank

Hi,

I feel real stupid for asking about this, but i've had my 2017 X3 for two months now (what a great vehicle!) and cant get a full tank of gas when I fill up. The analog needle shows 'full', but the digital readout under the speedometer shows 3/4 full. I always use Shell.
Now, when I got the car, the dealer had the vehicle filled up, the digital 'needle' was totally full. So its something i'm doing or not doing right.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Mike

Here is a pic, it was taken a few days after a fill up. However it was just over the 3/4 mark on the digital read out vs the needle was at full.

i think thats the indicator for how many miles on full tank..
the intervals are 200km, 400km,600km,800km which is displaying 582km which seems very accurate.
i think its normal.

i would have to check mine, i never paid attention to that detail lol

yes it is accurate, but what I am saying i cant get that past the 3/4 mark when i fill up. When I picked it up from the dealer, they had it full and the range said over 800 kms...see attached.

Relax.... you are fine. The left guage displays physical quantity of fuel.
The guage on the right displays expected range based upon your actual driving habits.
So based upon your pics, brand new range is 836km.... your shows 582 after a few days.
