Steering wheel for Xbox
Son wants a steering wheel for the Xbox for his birthday to play Forza Horizon and Forza 6. Needs to have some kind of stand that isn't too bulky as well as will be used in the lounge so there isn't an option for one of the racing style seats.
What's the best options. |

Thanks. Looks a nice wheel. Does it need cabled back to the Xbox or is it wireless. Also how do you mount the wheel, that seems to be the biggest problem getting something to mount it to securely.

Yes it needs power and you need to plug it into your Xbox.
It has clamps underneath that you tighten from the top. You can also buy a stand so that you can play from your sofa. (GT Omega steering wheel stand).

Very good bit of kit and can be easily folded up and stowed away when not used. Very secure with a wheel attached to it and comfortable. Takes about 60 seconds to set up and start playing with your wheel attached to it. Means your lad can get the most out of his game with a wheel and has zero set up and stow. £159. Worth every penny. Had mine for 6 months and its great. |

That PlaySeat looks pretty good. Would it be too large for a 10 year old in that I mean can he reach the pedals ok?
Also someone mentioned the Omega stand which also looks pretty good. Can it be adjusted on height so that it could work OK with him sitting on the sofa? And then cables, understands it needs cabled to the Xbox. Can the cables be left connected to the Xbox and then plugged in and out to the steering wheel. Would work well if the cables just just be tucked away behind the unit holding the Xbox when the wheel isn't being used. Keen to make it all as neat and as easy as possible. |

Seems the cables from the Xbox to the Logitech wheel are only 1.8m long which leaves the user much too close to the screen in my opinion. Has anyone a different wheel or extend cables on the Logitech one.

Only two connections from wheel (I keep my wheel and pedals attached to seat, they fold up neatly in to the seat). Power lead and USB in to PS4. Simply velcro cable tied to the right hand side of the seat frame. When not in use, they fit inside the folded seat. I'll post a pic of it all stowed. |

Stowed and set up. To get in the seat, the whole wheel tray swivels over to the left and is secured with a twist connector on the right hand side when you get in. Complete rigidity even when driving like a loon!
