which fog light bulb temperature to match the new LUX 180 color temperature?

Currently going to purchase the lux H8 180 for my pre lci - e92.

I have stock bulb as well for my fogs which are the yellowish color.

Now, do you guys have any recommendations as to which bulb color temp I should be getting?

The lux 180 is 7000K white light according to their website.

Does this mean that my fog like bulbs shall be 7000k as well?

If you can provide your setup with pics as well that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't have Lux, but I do have Mtech V3 angle eyes. I originally had some GP Thunder 7500k ebay bulbs and they were a decent match but didn't have the brightness I wanted. After dealing with some burnouts I decided to go with an LED bulb that worked with the existing connections. My car uses 9006 bulbs (mtech front bumper you would need to confirm bulb type for your car) and I tried out these:

Results: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8p...ew?usp=sharing

Not a perfect match, but the light output is WAY improved. All and all I like them. If you want quick and cheap go the GP Thunder route at 7500k.

We actually commonly recommend a 4350k halogen bulb for the fog lights. These will appear to be a clean white color that will not be blue, but not yellow either.

Thanks for the response. And the 4350k is similiar to the color of the lux 180? So no to LEDs?

the LUX H8 180 is rated around a 7000K actually, but the light is changed with the optics of the angel eyes. As well a fog light bulb is changed in the fog light housing, so together they look good.

There is the option to do a LED fog light, but ware not that familiar with the different manufacturers those.

What model halogen bulb does a 2011 e90 take? (9006 maybe?)
