save yourself the dollars and time and use bimmercode. his app lets you do VIM at any speed and anything else possible for the platform. most popular options are just a swipe of the finger.

but if you want to code something unique or something new just use expert mode to easily access the module and change the values. what's even better is the ease of use for non tech types and how you always have access to change or revert back to another instance.

going to the dealer and they reflashed your ecu and lost all your coding? it's not an additional fee or session, just plug in like first time and use your back up. use on all your bmws for the one fee.

also the developer is a member and very prompt with troubleshooting and support while constantly providing updates and new coding features as updates to the app. can't go wrong!
you donwload the app on your phone. then use a ~$25 OBD module which creates a wifi network you connect to on your phone and code via wifi connection through the app. so easy which is why so popular with folks not tech savvy and developer is always available which is great to help.

I should know by this weekend how it went. If all goes well I can meet with you and you can use my adaptor and do some of your own coding if you like.

Ordered the vGate adapter and it's supposed to arrive today. I'll be downloading and "coding" the car tonight. Going through demo mode seemed to allow modifying everything that I wanted to change. And it looked like changing values was a snap. Really looking forward to seeing how this functions.

Will follow up tomorrow with my experience.

Sorry for the delay! IT WORKS! Vgate icar2 adapter and bimmercode app were super easy to use. The app itself is about as easy as it comes to select/deselect options. I did have issues with staying connected for longer than 5 minutes so I just made a few selections, hit code, then let the car restart and continue at it.

I installed LED fog lights and turn signals (waiting on DRLs to arrive) over the weekend. Turned off hot/cold checks and selected LED as the bulb type using Bimmercode app. Everything works and looks great.

Great to hear. I can't get ConnectedDrive working yet since I brought her over from Europe. As soon as BMWNA figures this out the better. I'm very disappointed with BMW because of this.

So I coded a few things. Got all the errors. Turn on the car, backed it out of the garage then back in the garage and errors went away.

However, my wife's profile didn't take any of the codes - what gives?

I know a person that did coding for my F30 328i. PM for his number. He is out in Sterling, VA but is very knowledgable.

He did enhanced bluetooth/Navigation/and alot of extras.
