Deleting information on I Drive
Folks I've trade the F30 and need to delete information (phone contacts, music, destinations etc...) in the I drive. I've tried everything but can't seem to get rid of phone contacts especially. Any help would be appreciated. Car has no Bluetooth...

Hit your "Menu" button, scroll all the way down and select "Settings"
Once in settings, press your "Options" button and scroll all the way down again You should see something like "Delete all Personal Data" Select that one. |

I don't import contacts to my idrive so they don't appear when I turn off Bluetooth on my phone. Usually I'll just delete recent destinations and messages if I need to clear the memory quickly. In your case since you're selling the car you should follow the steps mentioned by the other poster to wipe clean the I drive.

In settings I was "hovering" over profiles without selecting it, that may help as well. Options changes depending on what selection you are on so it may be specific to the "Profiles" selection.

Just spent 45 min and couldn't find anything to delete all contacts. I tried different profiles with both keys in the car still nothing. Really BMW? So hard to delete contacts? I may have to go back to the dealer to get them to do it

Usually if you press the option button while viewing the contacts there should be a way to delete all contacts just like with messages and last destinations. You can either delete one entry or all of them.

I tried your suggestion, once I'm on the contacts screen and press options, it brings me to the original options screen. Not good that it's not just a simple operation. Very frustrating..

Not sure what to tell you; that sucks though... What I posted earlier about "delete all users" was literally while sitting in my car looking at it; but I also just got a software update. Maybe it is a feature in newer models and 14's didn't have it.
