non zsp steering wheel swap?

i would like to install the "sport" steering wheel in my car. (07 335i e90)

i think i will need the wheel, airbag, and trim (3) - but what about the multifunction buttons (5), and wiring harness (2)? can those be used from my factory wheel?

also - IS there a thicker steering wheel that works with the non zsp airbag?

thanks!

To swap out the non-ZSP wheel, you will need:

1. Sport / M-Tech / M3 steering wheel WITH appropriate AIR BAG MOUNT (i.e. you can't buy the wheel from AGE tuning on ebay)
2. Sport airbag module (either from dealer or ebay)
3. Multifunction switch (you need a new one, the ones on your current wheel won't fit)
4. Sport / M / Leather Steering wheel cover
5. Nuts / Bolts

The whole setup should run you about a grand give or take 1-200.

what does the leather steering wheel cover look like?

is there just an all black trim w/o the m logo? IIRC the sport one is black/silver...

Look at it this way, if you have a non-zsp steering wheel, you cannot transfer anything over. You will have to get all the necessary parts.

yes - i understand that.

i am asking what the leather cover looks like....there are known to be the standard zsp "sport", m, and leather covers aka trim pieces... i have not seen what the leather one looks like...

i am also asking if there is a cover that is just all black - similar to the m trim piece but without the m badge...

edit: looks like there is such a thing.... any idea the part number or any details?

That's the old ZSP steering wheel cover and has been discontinued.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but this is the leather cover. It has the same texture as the airbag.
