Coilovers - KW v1

To the Western Washington folks here with the KW v1 coilover suspension on an E90 (330i):

I've read a lot about this suspension and before I buy it I was hoping for some local feedback on how they fair on our crappy roads. Any regrets buying them? Did you keep them or sell them and upgrade to another kit? Would a long drive be avoided? etc.

Thanks!

I have them on my e92 335i for 6 months now so far so good. Ride is definitely stiffer, if I were to buy a different set up I would probably go with Broadway static just to go lower, the rear compresses on inclines too much for my liking. As far as handling the crappy roads they do a good job.

I wish . They are a little outside of my budget, wife put the limit at $1400, and the KW v1 are $1350 atm with the rebate @ bimmerworld. They seem to be the best I can find for that amount of money.

I see, I don't think they're that much more expensive and you really get what you pay for. Also I might say get the FSD's, I've heard that they ride really nice if you match up the correct spring rates.

Hrrm, I think you might have talked me into the ohlins. The road and track ones? Might be worth it to save a couple extra pennies and get a nice suspension ....

Thanks!

edit: Found them for $1800, seemed like a good deal so I ending up buying them today.

They're definitely nice. Where did you end up buying them from?

Modern automotive performance. They have a $200 rebate code you can enter on purchase. Hard to say no to that, everyone else had em at $2k minimum.
