F$&% a tic pipe

You arent a man until you install one of these. First off the oem pipe did not want to come off of the turbo. Then have to test fit a few tims atleast to see where you can place the clamps so they dont hit or rub into anything. I know t bolt clamps are in all but can they come up with something smaller for these tight places? If this thing leaks i might consider selling the car lol jk. I really believe a one piece pipe would have worked.

You don't want a one piece, once it flexes it's going to either rip the right side of your intercooler down or it'll stretch the connecting points because of torque engine flex .

Good job for installing it yourself, I did mine I thought it was easier than the charge pipe.

I installed the c clip on the turbo piece, fed it through and it just snaps into the turbo flange, then fed the clamps and rubber elbow etc.

Most of the trouble was getting the stock out

Hmmm interesting. Never had issues with that. I already had the black clip off when I did my turbo swap.

Agreed... not as easy of a job as it would appear. Those clamp bolts at the coupler really do seem to be unnecessarily long and difficult to work with in the available space. Definitely made me decide I don't want to be a weekend mechanic anymore. Good thing the FBO is done...

Maybe a thick semi hard hose would work. Like the ones they used on wrx & sti.

Whats the reason you changed this without turbo upgrade?

I was being extremely hopeful it would help hold a little more boost past 5500. Since im pushing a good amound that oem balloon has got to be swole up. Plus its the last piece to be fbo.

I have a stage 1 turbo and adding the TIC pipe I felt zero difference when I changed it. Security blanket I guess...
Now the charge pipe and pure inlet wow! World of a difference.

Exactly I'm wondering as seems hard to do it, i wont waste my time till turbo upgrade. Sames goes to DV and inlet, I just can't just justify the hard work for too little on stock turbo i guess.
What charge pipe are you referring too cuz normal CP is not wow, world difference in performance term.

I run the ER charge pipe. When I installed that it helped with lag tremendously.

Yeah as far as the jb4 setting I had the pwm maxed out as well on my setup. But I've moved away from jb4 last year.

I assume with bm3 they make power by adjusting since the stock turbo wont hold boost up top
