HID's error code on 07 e92 forglights

I just installed 8000k HIDs in fog lights and every time the car starts i get a warning on the panel with fog light and ! sign inside. This goes away after few seconds. they work perfectly fine. Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks

Install a decoder (aka malfunction canceller).

What brand of HID Kit is it?

If you're a '06 or early '07 build you might still get the error even w/a error cancel unit. Proven way to get rid of it is w/resistors + the error delete module. If they work though (no flickering), I don't think it's really worth the hassle and $ to buy the stuff needed to get rid of it. It only stays for a few sec anyway?

Taking your HIDs out of the halogen housings would fix it.

I would recommend reading through these two posts:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435925
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=338009

Also if you could post what HID kit you're using that might help as well.
