2017 230i XDrive (B46) exhaust options

Hello All,

I am picking up my '17 230i XDrive next week and was looking into possible exhaust options for this model/engine. Does anyone know which exhausts are out already? (I do not see much info online). Are 2016 228i exhausts compatible?

I am also located in Toronto, ON.

Thanks,

Only options would be custom. I know magnaflow took a poll on here almost a year ago, but no updates since. Maybe give them a call?

I've been shopping as well and coming up empty. Only parts I'm seeing so far is the BMS intake & jb4. No downpipes, no exhausts.

The wait is killing me.

I have a 2016 228ix and got a Dinan muffler. Not loud but I like it.

You know what I'd like.. I'd like a replacement lower bumper cover... diffuser or whatever to split the exhaust, like on the M235/240.

So far I know supersprint has a exhaust and a catted down-pipe for our car. Dinan has one in development. Does anyone think the supersprint dp is worth the price? As I take it a exhaust is purely for the sound and the looks of the pipes and a catted dp will actually increase torque. When you factor this is the super sprint dp does not seem that extreme of a purchase.

going to a less restrictive DP like a sport DP (less cells, usually around 200) or a catless DP, you allow the turbo to spin up faster because there is less back pressure on the turbine. It also means more power both hp and tq, but usually need a tune to take full advantage of the new DP.

Would the dinan tune reap the benifts of the catted dp? Turner has the supersprint 230i dp. It has a HJS cat w 200 cell. I'm worried about the warranty issues. Can you blow an engine or turbo with a catted dp? I hear this touted as one of the best mods you can make. Thoughts?

Manufacturers will always try to weasel their way out of paying. Unless they can prove it though they have to cover under warranty.
