335i ECS M3 suspension upgrade kit opinions
As the title suggest I am looking for opinions by anyone that has used any or multiple of these kits (or similar). For context my rear trailing arm and control arm bushings are starting to fail and my god driving around with a squeaky car is embarrising. But I had planned on going this route anyway so maybe its just the motivation I needed to get this going. But my question for everyone is how in your experinces do the kits effect the performance of the suspension? Is the level 3 kit worth it over the level 2 kit or should I just buy the level 1 kit and buy stock trailing arm components? Or is there an even better aftermarket solutions I should be considering? As for ride comfort its not something I mind giving up, I'd much rather a competent suspension over a comfortable suspension. Thanks in advanced for any input guys!

I haven't bought these for mine but I hear it's a good upgrade. Fcpeuro has the front and back set pretty cheap.

Ordered mine from FCPEuro on Sunday. Super excited for the kit to arrive - I also like the fact that if anything goes wrong there is a lifetime warranty on the parts. I love the idea of not having to repurchase

What is your goal? Do you want to replace all the bushings, control arms & subframe bushings ?

I recently replaced bushings, trailing arms, control, arms, etc.. with M3 parts. 2010 E92 with 90,000 + miles. Rear end had started to get very loose, and had a pronounced shimmy under hard acceleration. The upgrades have transformed my car. Very tight now, it is a pleasure to drive on winding canyon roads. I have regained my trust in the car, and only wish i had done the upgrades 20,000 miles ago.

Just had this full kit installed yesterday.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...001258ecs01kt/ It has the front control arms, rear guide rods/wishbones and their trailing arm. Car feels planted and way stiffer which is nice. |

This planted feeling.. What % would you guys attribute the benefit to the M3 rear end bits and what % to the mandatory alignment afterwards?

This kit is very comprehensive - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...FQQbaQodGJYMZA I personally prefer Lemforder parts vs other brand components listed in the kit, when talking about the non-m parts listed. You could probably just make a list of parts in the kit, assemble your own kit and save yourself a few dollars in the process. |

I snapped 1 of my torx bits while trying to take the bolt off connector to the tyre side.... Is there some sort of trick to getting this bolt loose and off? |

But is it the alignment because people have had a wonky setup prior, or is it the better arms giving the impression of a better drive?
=C= If you are not intending on refitting the old arms, just rattle them off. Soak the ball joints (threads and both sides of the knuckle) in your favourite penetrating spray beforehand and then attack with the gun, applying bodyweight against the nut so the rattling loosens the joint from the knuckle at the same time. Otherwise, i always use an impact torx socket for this task and when tightening i use the torx solely for counterholding. Normal sockets just dont cut it. |
