Deleting/ gutting and codes?

If I delete or gut the SCR cat, leaving the DEF injector, will it throw codes?
What else Can I do to the exhaust without reflashing the computer.

Oh, yeah. You'll get a CEL with something like 4d16, or the even worse "no start in 200 miles". Remember, it monitors the NOx sensors to check the reaction. Basically, anything you do to the emissions stuff will result in a CEL.

Straight-piping the mufflers won't cause problems is about the only thing.

That's what I figured. I just fixed my 4d16 (cleaned the metering valve) this emissions crap is just so finicky... ready to delete but not ready to pay $1000 plus yet...
