Circuit Werks makes a 335i exhaust for cheap that can be modified for the 335d. Of course, this is only true if you are tuned since an exhaust removes the SCR filter.

No. The mufflers are different shape (due to DEF tank), and the center resonator's position is taken for the SCR. And all the downpipes and such are completely different of course.

Pulling my response. Floyd was writing in terms of original 335D muffs versus 335i muffs. I got off track in regard to the CW aftermarket exhaust which is made for the 335i (N54 engine). I was showing where the CW muffs go under the DEF tanks.
EDIT: picture now successfully removed.

I mean with DPF and SCR delete. Just mufflers.
Do folks commonly remove the DEF tank when doing and alphabet delete?
I would guess not unless they wanted the room to fabricate space for a spare tire.

Several here have removed DEF system just to save weight. I'm only one that did the spare up underneath.

I ran straight pipes for about 1.5 yr (down pipe and circuit werks and no muffs) and felt it was too loud. We are all different though in terms of what is too loud or not. I paid a lot of money cumulatively for my exhaust and didn't want to hack it by cludging in mufflers. I didn't think they would fit real good outboard of the spare (see pic). I took out down pipe and replaced with gutted DPF. Sound is just right now. You guys have seen my exhaust in other threads.

Like I say, we are all different in terms or what is liked or thought of as too loud. My friends who rode in my car prior to gutted DPF install liked the sound. They don't listen to it all of the time like I did.

ok, so if I remove the DEF tank want only mufflers (no cat or scr), will a 335i exhaust bolt up to a 335d downpipe?

the answer is no

use Google images and compare the two

these exhausts are two completely different animals with two different functions with one same end result equaling a quiet car. everything from where the exhaust bolts to the turbo to the type of muffler is different.

can it be modified to fit yes
