For me, I'm running à FBO 435i and for me map 5 is the best choice! What car do you have? PWG or EWG? Possible that if you don't have an intercooler, map 5 will high boost on first couple run but reduce because overheat.

A thought I had concerning 93 vs 91 Octane...There were 2 stations here with 93 Octane, 3 if you have a Costco membership, but at least the 2 have ethanol in their gas. So my thought on this is that if I get my gas at a station with 91 octane with no added ethanol and mix with E85 like I normally do with the 93 octane I may very well end up with the same octane level and the same amount of ethanol in my tank. The other caveat is that the E85 in my area is allowed to vary in ethanol content from 50% to 80% so it's a crapshoot every time. Fortunately my N55 pwg is happy with my current mix which yesterday was 5 gallons 93 octane with the ethanol and 6 gallons E85.
oh and I have been running on map 7 for several weeks now with no issues that I'm aware of.

I'm wondering why is there no consensus on 91 pump? JB4 and F30 n55 has been many years out and thousands of tests and dynos - and yet still we can't have a simple definitive answer. I'm only asking because I also have access to only 91 fuel and I also got various answers on same topic in my thread.
Map 1 - is for 91 fuel, BUT when other things come into play - such as FBO and/or e85 or meth - it surely requires the use of other maps, not just map 1. Still good folks advise everything from map 1 to map 7 |

Also, just FYI, I was running what I thought was 94 octane gas (should have known better as it is the only station in the province that sells anything higher than 91 octane, Husky in Saskatchewan Canada, Im sure all the gas in the province comes from the same refinery... anyways) and I was running Map 2, also have ER DP, I installed the latest PWG firmware for JB4 that just came out the other night and decided to datalog. BMS reviewed my logs and said Map 2 was too aggressive for the fuel i was running and I should stick to Map 1 or 5. This made sense to me as I felt little to no difference in Map 2 versus Map 1. The claimed 94 octane gas is obviously bs. This being said... Map 1 is what BMS reccomends for 91 Octane, not sure why anyone would take advice on what to run in their car with JB4 from anyone other than the people who designed/tested/r&d/sell/service/etc the JB4. My 2 cents.
